PHOTOGRAPHER. RETOUCHER. BRAND STORYTELLER.

I'm Vanessa, a Glasgow-based fashion, beauty, and commercial photographer and professional image retoucher, working with emerging and established brands across Scotland, the UK, and beyond. With a BA (Hons) in Photography, I combine creative direction, technical precision, and high-end retouching to create polished visual content that helps brands stand out. I specialise in clean product lighting, fashion and beauty campaigns, e-commerce imagery, and skin-focused retouching for brands, agencies, and businesses who want considered, engaging visuals across digital, print, and social.

How it all began

Before photography, there was drawing. I grew up with a love of art, portraits especially - and that fascination with capturing a face and a feeling never left me. Being gifted a camera opened my eyes to a whole new world: the same instinct, a new medium.

I went on to study Photography to BA (Hons) level, where I learned the technical craft behind the images. Light, composition, and the discipline of getting it right in-camera. I found myself drawn to photographers like Paolo Roversi, whose painterly, almost hand-rendered images felt like a bridge between the drawing I'd always done and the photography I was falling for.

I found my place in fashion and beauty; drawn to clean, considered imagery and the precision those fields demand. Alongside shooting, I developed a specialism in high-end retouching, where that early painterly eye still shows: building each final image with the same care I once brought to a drawing.

Since then I've worked with brands including Oh Polly, Oh Polly Swim, BO+TEE, Lola's Lashes, YOTEL, GlamCandy, Moriconi Italy, and Urban Jungle — creating fashion, beauty, and commercial imagery that elevates campaigns and strengthens brand identity. Today I work with clients across the UK from my base in Glasgow.

I light for clarity: clean product lighting, flattering beauty light, and a polished finish that reads well across web, print, and social. Nothing fussy, just imagery that looks the way a brand wants to be seen.
The difference is in the finishing. High-end skin, hair, and product retouching, careful colour, and an eye on the small things so the final images hold up under the closest look.
